The Corporate Power Reset approach is spreading rapidly.
A statutory voter initiative has been filed in Montana and is headed for the state’s 2026 ballot. Organizers need to collect roughly 30,000 verified signatures by June 19.
Hawaii's SB2471 has passed the legislature and is headed to Gov. Josh Green for his signature.
Bills were introduced in 2026 in Arizona, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington state. New York was first out of the gate with a bill in fall 2025. None of these, except Hawaii, made it fully through the legislature their first time out.
Potential sponsors have draft bills in hand for 2027 in Connecticut, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
The Corporate Power Reset is active in 24 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.

Ballot initiative: A constitutional voter initiative has been filed in Montana and is headed for the state’s 2026 ballot. The form of a previous version was successfully challenged by the state's attorney general, but organizers have redrafted and resubmitted both a simplified constitutional initiative and a new statutory initiative. They plan to proceed with whichever one gives them enough time to get sufficient signatures. Contact the Transparent Election Initiative for more information. https://transparentelection.org/
